Even in old days people said that “News travels very fast''. Long ago when there were no TV, radio, or even newspapers, travelers told people the news in hotels or in marketplaces. Then a peace of news spread from person to person, and soon the whole neighborhood was inforjped. But still it could take up to a year or more for news from abroad to reach the most distant foreign countries. Nowadays thanks to satellite communication, TV, the radio, and the Internet people all over the world can learn and even witness the news the moment it happens. So news travel nearly with the speed of light today, especially bad news.
