Lewis Carrol is the pen-name of Charles Dodgeson who wrote Alice in Wonderland. This man’s main occupation was teaching mathematics, though. He also wrote many works in logic. Nevertheless he liked and understood children. The main character of his stories is a little girl Alice. She tries to make deductions of what she sees applying what logic she possesses. Nearly all of her judgments are incorrect, but for the child they seem obvious and logical. The action usually takes place in a strange and unfamiliar world which the girl discovers for herself. Anyway, her adventures end well, she returns home safe and sound. I have reread this book several times because it is funny and amusing. Title The Lord of the Rings. Writer John Tolkien. Plot First nine brave men met to save the world. Then they went to Mordor, the evil place, to destroy the ring. In the end they saved the world. 1. This book is about nine brave men, four hobbits, an elf, a dwarf, a magician and two men, who wanted to save the world from the evil. 2. The main characters are brave and responsible. They can give their lifes to save the friend. 3. The action takes place in the imaginary world, first in Shire then in Mordor. 4. The plot is about brave hobbits, elves, dwarfs and people who fought with the evil. 5. The book has a happy end, almost everybody got everything he deserved. 6. I like this book because it is about true friendship and responsible creatures who can manage anything when they are together.
