5. Prepare your ideas on two of the topics below. Speech 1: Going to the cinema vs. watching films at home I want to talk about going to the cinema and watching films at home. Going to the cinema is exciting because the screen is big and the sound is loud. You can enjoy new films as soon as they come out. However, cinema tickets and snacks can be expensive, and you can’t pause the film if you miss something. Watching films at home is cheaper and more comfortable. You can pause the film, relax on the sofa, and eat whatever you want. But the experience is not as special, and the screen is much smaller. Both options are fun, but I usually prefer watching films at home because it’s easier and more relaxing. Speech 2: Living in an apartment building vs. living in a house Now I want to compare living in an apartment building and living in a house. Living in an apartment is convenient because everything is close — shops, schools, and transport. Apartments are easy to clean and neighbors make the place feel safe. But apartments are small, and you may hear noise from other people. Living in a house gives you more space and privacy. You can have a garden and even keep pets. However, houses are more expensive and harder to take care of, and they are often farther from the city center. Both have advantages, but I would choose a house because I love having more space and a quiet environment.
