3. Define the words and give short descriptions of each kind of climate. Moderate climate Definition: A climate without extreme temperatures — not very hot and not very cold. Description: Seasons are well–defined, winters are mild, summers are warm, and precipitation is spread throughout the year. 2. Continental climate Definition: A climate typical for inland areas, far from seas or oceans. Description: Characterized by hot summers, cold winters, and a big difference between daytime and nighttime or summer and winter temperatures. 3. Moderate continental climate Definition: A milder form of continental climate. Description: Winters are cold but not severe, summers are warm but not too hot. This is typical for much of Ukraine. 4. Tropical climate Definition: A hot climate found near the equator. Description: Very high temperatures all year round, a lot of rainfall, often divided into wet and dry seasons. Examples: Brazil, Indonesia. 5. Subtropical climate Definition: A climate found just outside the tropics. Description: Hot summers, mild winters, and plenty of sunshine. Some areas may be humid (like southern China), while others are dry (like parts of Spain).
