Study the map of the UK. a) Find the four parts of the country. Write about it. The UK comprises four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The latter three have devolved adminestrations, each with varying powers. b) Fill in the blanks to say where each part of Great Britian is situated. The UK situated on two large islands. The two main islands are Great Britain and Ireland. Nothern Ireland is situated to the north-west of Great Britain. Scotland is in the northern area. Wales is in the centre of the island. c) Write what the country is washed by and where. Use the scheme below. 1. The country is washed by the Black Sea in the North. 2. It is washed by the Mediterranean Sea in the South (Turkey) 3. The UK is washed by the Atlantic Ocean in the West.
