Впр.3 The building is not a very old one, but it is a copy of the original Globe, a theatre where people of the sixteenth century watched Shakespeare’s plays. William Shakespeare was one of the most famous English writers and was born in Stratford-upon-Avon. A lot of people at that time didn’t read his plays but went to see them at the theatre. The Globe Theatre was round and made of wood. Rich people had chairs to sit on, while poor people stood in the open air in the middle. People ate and drank during the performance or laughed and shouted at the actors. The actors were only men, and boys played the women’s roles.
