Впр.4 Kyiv was founded 15 centuries ago. It was the capital of Kyivan Rus. Zoloti Vorota is often the starting point of many tours round Kyiv. The Saint Sophia Cathedral is the place where Prince Yaroslav was buried. There is a statue of Bohdan Khmelnytsky in front of St Sophia. Andriyivsky Uzviz is another place of interest in Kyiv. The wonderful St Andrew’s Church was built by Italian architect Rastrelli. Maidan Nezalezhnosti is the popular meeting place. There are many museums to visit in Kyiv. Pyrohovo Museum is the place worth of seeing. Kyiv’s monuments of the past look well among modem buildings.
