He earned patents for over 1000 inventions 3) – Do you know when Archimedes lived? – He lived in 287 BC – 212 DC. – Was he Italian? – No, he lived in Greece – What was famous for? – He was famous for the discovery of the formula for the volume of a shape and he is considered to be the greatest mathematician of antiquity. 4) – Do you know Leonardo da Vinci? – He lived in the 15th and the early 16th century. – Was he Spanish – No, he lined in Italy — What was he famous for? — He was famous for detailed drawings of the human anatomy, and for his prototypes of the helicopter and miliyary tank. 5) – Do you know Galileo Galilei? – He lived in 16th and 17th century – Was he Greek? – No, he lived in Italy – What was he famous for? – He believed that the Earth goes round the Sun and he constructed the first astronomical telescope.
