Write a review of your favourite book. Use the recommendations from the Writing Lab. І варіант The book I’d like to comment on is «Robinson Crusoe» by Daniel Defoe. It’s an adventure novel written in the end of 18th century. The title of the book is the name of the main character who was the only survivor of a shipwreck. The plot’s set on an inhabitable island in the Pacific Ocean. I identified with the main character because of his strong will for life and inventiveness. The story has many twists and exciting adventures, which Robinson passes through and finally finds a true friend and is rescued after several long years of isolation by another European ship. I liked the book because the main character didn’t give up to circumstances, but used what he had at hand and managed to built himself a shelter, to domesticate animals, to defend himself and to save another person. I thoroughly recommend it to both children and adults. ІІ варіант I would like to share my impressions about the first part of the trilogy «The Lord of the Rings». It is a story of brave and friendly heroes. It was written by J. Tolkien. It is a very famous-fantasy book of one of the most influential fantasy writer in the world. The first part of the trilogy is called «The Fellowship of the Ring». It is about a trip of nine friends to the land called Mordor to destroy the Ring of Power which can cause a lot of trouble. The main heroes are brave and smart hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin; the Men Aragorn son of Arathorn, a Range of the North; and Boromir, a Captain of Gondor; Gimli son of Gion, a Dwarf warrior; Legolas Greenleaf, an Elven prince; and Gandalf, a Wizard. Their adventures are very dynamic and dangerous which makes the story very interesting and absorbing. I would thoroughly recommend this book to all my friends. I like the book because it teaches us friendship and responsibility.
