Work in groups. Discuss the newspapers and magazines you read. What makes them attractive to you? Are there any rubrics which you like most? Don’t like at all? Write a list of things that can keep young readers interested in the newspaper articles. I like magazines more than newspapers. They attract me because of their colorful pages. When the highlight is interesting I may read the article, but most of all I like looking through the pictures. I don’t like reading long stories without any pictures, I have just skip them. I think the most interesting things for readers are pictures, advertisements, news about celebrities and so on. 2. Listen to the children and say which editions in the picture they are talking about. Tick (V) things they are attracted by. Which of these editions do you read? They are talking about fashion. I have read the magazine about Ukrainian embroidery.
