Hi, Den. In your letter you ask me what subjects I learn at school. Well, there are many of them, about a dozen or so. Most of them are boring. We have to sit quietly and listen to teachers or other kids reading from a textbook or answering teacher’s questions. Besides, they are impractical. What is the use of learning geography if to buy a plane ticket is a luxury? Where shall I travel? I’ll be lucky if my parents take me to my granny’s village in summer. The same is with history. Nobody learns the lessons of history because even today, in the 21st century, wars are going on, there are hungry children, and a bunch of rich moneybags rules and exploits billions of people. So we can only look on at history repeating itself. As for mathematics, we can do any sums with calculators in our phones, so why rack our brains? In my opinion, the only useful subject is English.
