UNIT 2 » L2 (7)

a) Fill in the gaps with the world from the boxes. 1. Good morning, dear listeners. Our educational programme is preparing a book entitled ‘Our favourite Teacher’. It is based on the beautiful and sweet stories we got from you so far. Today is the last day for your contribution. So, is your have a favourite teacher, the one who has really inspired you – who not call in and tell us who you liked them. Try to keep it touching and short – not more than a minute. 2. Good morning. I’m Bruce. I’m fourteen. Last year, l was very fond of my PE teacher. To be honest at first I hated PE but he was a great coach. He told us that sport were very much like life. There is teams-work, there’s work on your own, there is adrenaline, there is fun, but there are also rules. If you play by the rules you can achieve the best results. The training and the hard work are the most important. If you want to have excitement all the time – you will lose; both in sports and in life. 3. Hello. I’m Kim. I’m thirteen. The teacher I like best is my from-master this year. He teaches history. He is not chatty or cheerful, he doesn’t tell jokes or make us laugh. But he does one thing-he makes us talk about life. At the beginning of the year he put up two big posters on the wall: one about fifty great people who lived in the past: kings, queens, artists, writers, philosophers, composers, Nobel prize winners… And another one with our present-day celebrities we read about every day. We analyse the reasons for their fame and always make new comparisons. That’s so powerful!
