Read the review of a play. Then correct 12 words that have missing, misplaced, or unnecessary apostrophes. The Shakespeare Society’s production of Hamlet opened last night at the Winter Theatre. It will run for five days. To play on Shakespeare’s words, this play is the thing, and all the world should see it. All the actors’ performances are excellent. And Tom Hatchinson is outstanding. Hatchinson’s Hamlet is really brilliant and at last you will understand Hamlet’s difficult personality. An equally fine performance is given by Mary Datter who plays Ophelia, one of the great roles. Ophelia’s mad scene will send chills down your spine. Our thanks to the Shakespeare Society which has given us so many memorable evenings in the theatre.
