Find out about a real natural disaster and describe what was happening there where it took place. After warm summer-like days in September and during the first half of October, an unprecedented hailstorm hit Rome. Hail come some roads as it were snow causing much disruptions to local traffic. Some drivers were forced to leave their cars as they became submerged in the following deluge. According to local news reports, the city was flooded with up to a metre of water.
