Текстова відповідь

Обираємо Лесю Українку.

a) Quote collage inspired by Lesia Ukrainka

1) "I hope against all hope." (Lesia Ukrainka)

2) "No, I am alive! I will live forever, because in my heart I have something that never dies."

3) "Who told you that I am weak, that I obey my fate?"

4) "Only in struggle is a human life worth living."

5) "To stop crying, I began to smile."

Ці цитати передають головні ідеї Лесі Українки: віру без надії, внутрішню силу, боротьбу і вміння не здаватися навіть у дуже важкі часи.

b) Dialogue between Lesia Ukrainka and a modern teenager

Teenager: Good afternoon, Ms Ukrainka. My name is Anna, I am a teenager from modern Ukraine.

Lesia Ukrainka: Good afternoon, Anna. Nice to meet you. How do young people live today?

Teenager: We study at school, use the Internet, play computer games and chat on our phones.

Lesia Ukrainka: Do you still read many books and poems?

Teenager: Some teenagers don’t read a lot, but I like poetry. Your poem "Contra spem spero" is my favourite.

Lesia Ukrainka: I am glad to hear that. Why do you like it?

Teenager: Because it teaches me to hope and be strong, even when life is difficult.

Lesia Ukrainka: Yes, a person must not give up. I was often ill, but I continued to write and dream.

Teenager: What would you advise to modern teenagers?

Lesia Ukrainka: Believe in yourselves, love your country and protect your freedom. Use new technologies, but don’t forget real books and real friends.

Teenager: Thank you. Your words give me courage. I will try to be brave and active.

Lesia Ukrainka: Then my poems live in your heart. That is the best reward for a writer.

Teenager: Thank you for the talk, Ms Ukrainka.

Lesia Ukrainka: Thank you, Anna. Stay hopeful, even against all hope.
