1. What is the film “Stop-Zemlia” about?

It is a film about a girl named Masha and her classmates in Kyiv. They are in the last year of school, preparing for exams and thinking about love, friendship and their future.

2. How are the characters in the film similar to you or your classmates?

They are similar to us because they go to school, worry about exams and marks, use smartphones, listen to music and chat on social networks. They also fall in love, feel shy and sometimes don’t know how to say what they really feel.

3. What are some of the problems the teenagers face?

They are afraid of exams and of choosing their future profession. Some of them feel lonely or misunderstood. They have problems with first love, with friends, and sometimes with parents. They also try to accept themselves and feel confident.

4. Do you think the film shows school life realistically? Why or why not?

Yes, I think it shows school life realistically. The lessons, breaks and school corridors look real. The teenagers speak and behave like real students: they joke, get bored in class, worry about tests and talk about their personal problems.

5. What did you like or dislike about the film?

I liked the film because the acting is very natural and the story feels true. I also liked the calm style and the music. I didn’t like that some scenes are very slow and a bit depressing, but in general the film is interesting and emotional.
