• Rural tourism has existed in Ukraine since the early 1990s.
• There are farmhouses, village guest houses, cottages and small hotels or camping sites for tourists.
• Visitors can go hiking or cycling, ride horses, go fishing, pick fruit and mushrooms, help on the farm and take part in folk crafts workshops.
• The high season is from May to September; the low season is late autumn and winter (except for New Year and Christmas holidays).
• There is the Association of Rural Green Tourism of Ukraine and some regional organisations for owners of rural guest houses.
