2. Work in groups of three. One student is the teacher and the other two students are Student A and Student B. The teacher reads the script, while Student A and B answer the questions. Then change roles until everyone has had a turn at being the teacher, Student A and Student B.

Teacher: Have you got a penfriend in another country? What do you write to him or her about?

Student A: Yes, I have. My penfriend lives in Poland. We write about our schools, hobbies and our families.

Student B: I don't have a penfriend, but I'd like to have one. I would write about my daily life and my favourite sports.

Teacher: Do you like writing and receiving emails or letters? Why?

Student A: I like receiving emails because they are fast and easy to read.

Student B: I prefer letters because they feel more personal and special.

Teacher: How do you usually communicate with your friends? Why?

Student A: I usually send text messages because it's quick and convenient.

Student B: I often use social media and messaging apps because all my friends use them.

Teacher: Which do you prefer: making phone calls or texting? Why?

Student A: I prefer texting because I can answer when I have time.

Student B: I prefer phone calls because it's easier to talk about important things.

Teacher: What kind of information do you share with other people through phone calls or emails?

Student A: I usually talk about school, homework, football and my weekend plans.

Student B: I share news about my family, holidays and what I do in my free time.

Teacher: How about you? Do you agree? What do you think?

Student A: Yes, I agree. Texting is very useful, but phone calls are better for longer conversations.

Student B: I think both are useful. It depends on the situation.
