4. Complete the text. Use the present perfect or the past simple form of the verbs. I (1) have been a member of the swimming team for two months. I (2) have enjoyed swimming since I (3) was small. Last year I (4) started using the swimming pool at our local sports club and one day I (5) saw a notice about the team. The next week they were practising in the pool when I (6) arrived and I (7) thought it looked like fun. We train twice a week. I (8) haven’t missed any training sessions, although sometimes it’s hard to find the time. When I (9) had exams last summer I almost (10) gave up. But I’m so pleased I (11) didn’t leave because since then we (12) have entered three competitions and we (13) have had a lot of fun together. Unfortunately, we (14) haven’t won any prizes for quite a long time.
