Soap opera – a TV series about the everyday lives, relationships, and problems of a group of people, usually shown regularly (often every day or every week). Science fiction – a type of programme or film about the future, space, advanced technology, aliens, or scientific ideas that are not real yet. Period drama – a TV series or film set in the past that shows how people lived in a particular historical period. Chat show – a TV programme where a host talks to guests, such as celebrities, about their lives, opinions, and experiences, often in a relaxed and informal way.
