6. Read the task and plan your story. PLAN FOR STORY Opening sentence: “My dad handed me a big bag from a department store.” Paragraph 1 – Beginning • Dad gives you a big mysterious bag. • You're curious what’s inside. • He says it’s a “surprise” and asks you to open it later. Paragraph 2 – Problem • You look inside and discover something unusual (e.g., expensive headphones, a strange gadget, a pet toy, clothes in the wrong size). • Something goes wrong — you break it, lose it, or realise it’s not meant for you. Paragraph 3 – Solution • You try to fix the problem: return to the shop, explain the mistake, or talk to your dad. • A funny or unexpected twist happens. Paragraph 4 – Ending • The story ends in a humorous or heart–warming way. • You learn a small lesson or your dad reveals the truth (e.g., the bag was meant for someone else).
