UNIT 5. DO YOU NEED A BOOK? » Стр.90 (6)

6. Work in groups. Discuss the questions. Student A: Are you in favour of using tablets at school? Student B: I’m mostly in favour of it. It’s better to have all your textbooks and notes in one device — much lighter than carrying heavy books. Student C: That’s a good idea, but battery life is a problem. If the tablet dies during class, you can’t take notes. Student A: I disagree with you about that — most tablets can last all day if you charge them overnight. Student B: Another thing is, tablets can have interactive apps that make learning more fun. Student C: I’m not a fan of staring at a screen all day, though. It’s bad for your eyes. Student A: Do you think we will stop using books in schools in 10 years’ time? Student B: I think we might use fewer books, but I don’t think they will disappear completely. Student C: I agree. Paper books are still better for reading long texts. Student A: That’s a good idea — maybe we will use both books and tablets, depending on the subject.
