3. Read this talk that a teacher is giving his class just before the end–of–year exams. Complete it with the correct form of the verbs from Exercise 1.

OK, class. Listen, everybody! Before the exams start on Monday I just want to say a few things. I guess that you are all (1) dreaming of getting good marks? Well, you may be, but it’s just as important to (2) succeed in everything you do. Here are some ideas to help you revise. First, I would (3) encourage you to write out a plan for the subject you’re studying and then find a quiet place to work. If I were you, I’d (4) aim to study for about three hours at a time, but have a break every 20 minutes or so. Not many of us can keep studying for longer. I (5) admire people who can concentrate for long periods, but most of us need a rest from time to time! If you find that you are unable to (6) achieve much, then try not to worry. Have a break and come back to it feeling fresh. Then you’ll be able to carry on. Try to (7) imagine yourself holding that piece of paper with your exam result on – it reads ‘excellent’, right? It’s up to you – you just have to try (8) to succeed.
