Hi Darcie,

Something strange just happened.

I heard this loud bang and (1) at first I didn’t know what it was. I looked out of the window and I couldn’t see anything unusual, so I carried on doing my homework. Then I heard the bang again and I ran downstairs (2) at once to get Dad. I wanted to know that (3) at least. It wasn’t just me that heard it. Dad said, ‘A bird’s just flown into the window, twice! It’s still a bit confused (4) at present but it will be OK.’ We waited for quite a long time, but (5) at long last the bird was fine again and flew off.
