When we think of Australia, we often think of beaches or the Sydney Harbour Bridge. But in the north of Queensland, there is a completely different (0) environment to discover: the Daintree Forest. This

is the largest area of tropical (1) rainforest on the Australian continent and besides this, it is the oldest in the world. Very few (2) humans live here; in fact the whole (3) population of the area is only about 500 people.

However, there are lots of interesting (4) creatures here, and the forest is the (5) habitat of the southern Cassowary bird. Not only is it the third largest bird species in the world, it is unfortunately (6) endangered, too. This is not because of (7) hunting, but the fact that the areas they live in have been reduced in size. The forest and the animals

which live in it are now protected to stop further problems.

The (8) landscape includes mountains that go all the way down to the sea, where you can find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This area is really unusual in its plants and wildlife and now there are also large (9) crops of cocoa trees, which chocolate is made from. You’ll taste the best chocolate here!

So, why not visit this amazing place and experience

something new and exciting?
