In some ways, our school library is rather like the Secondary School Library described in the text. It appears similar to that library because it also plays an important role in our school community. Our library seems like a friendly place where students can read and study quietly. It resembles the library in the text as we also have a librarian who is always ready to help us. The opening hours of our library have a lot in common with the ones in the text, because it is open every weekday. The collection of fiction and non-fiction books is pretty much the same as the one described, with many carefully chosen titles for teenagers. At the same time, our school library is totally different from the one in the text because we do not get foreign newspapers every day. The size of our library varies greatly from the one described; ours is much smaller. The reading area in our library is quite unlike the comfortable zones in the text, as we have only a few tables and chairs. Our library bears little resemblance to the modern library in the text in terms of technology, because we have only two computers and no electronic catalogue. The membership system is nothing like the one described; in our school all pupils can use the library for free and parents cannot join. Our library also differs dramatically from the one in the text because we do not organise an annual Book Week yet. Still, our library reminds me of the one in the text because it is an important and favourite place for many students.
