Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling is one of the books I have enjoyed reading most. It is a fantasy novel about an orphan boy who discovers that he is a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At school he makes close friends, learns magic and tries to find the truth about his parents’ death. Together with his friends Ron and Hermione, Harry has to stop the dark wizard Voldemort from getting a powerful stone and returning to his full power. I like this book because it is exciting and full of adventures, but it also shows the importance of friendship, courage and our choices. The characters are interesting and different, so it is easy to find someone to identify with. The language of the book is quite simple and there is also some humour, so it is easy and pleasant to read. I think this book is worth reading because it teaches us to fight against evil, believe in ourselves and protect the people we love.
