6. In pairs, do research. Find out how many students in Ukraine leave school after Year 9 and how many stay. Discover what the main reasons are.

Ukraine does not have exact official numbers for students who leave school after Year 9, but research shows that a significant portion do not continue in the traditional school system — estimates suggest up to about one‑third of students may not go from Year 9 into Year 10 in regular schools.

Main reasons include moving abroad or dropping out, choosing vocational education, wanting to start work early, or family/personal reasons.
