1. In groups of 3–4, discuss why plants and animals become extinct.

Once there was a beautiful green forest full of life. Tall trees grew everywhere, rivers were clean, and animals lived peacefully. Birds sang every morning, and the air was fresh and clean.

But one day, people came and started cutting down trees. They built houses, roads, and factories. At first, the animals did not understand what was happening. Slowly, their homes disappeared.

The air became dirty, and the rivers became polluted. Many animals left the forest, but some could not survive. A young fox stayed and watched everything change. It felt sad because there was less food and no safe place to live.

One day, a group of children visited the empty forest. They were shocked. “We must save it,” they said. They started planting trees and cleaning the river.

Years passed, and the forest slowly became green again. Birds returned, animals came back, and the forest was alive once more.

The fox watched happily and knew that people could also protect nature, not only destroy it.
