2. In groups of 3–4, discuss the meaning of the following quote.

What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves.

The quote “What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves” means that people and nature are deeply connected. If we pollute the air, water, and land, we also harm our own health and future. For example, dirty air can make people sick, cutting down forests can cause climate problems, and polluted water can be dangerous for humans and animals.

I think this quote teaches us that we must respect and protect the Earth. Nature gives us clean air, food, water, and a place to live. If we destroy it, our lives will become worse too.

In my opinion, the quote is very true because the Earth is our home. If we take care of nature, we also take care of ourselves and future generations.
