G runs to the garden and meets Gina the Giant there. Gina lives next to the school gym, and she’s a teacher. ‘Hello, G! Why are you sad?’ asks Gina. ‘Children can’t read me!’ says letter G. ‘I can help children remember the rule!’ She takes out her tablet and draws the face of letter G on it: eyes – red letters e, a mouth – pink letter i, a nose – yellow letter y. ‘You make the sound /dʒ/ before letters e, i and y, as in gym, geography and giant,’ says Gina to a happy letter G.
