Canada is the second largest country in the world after Russia. It’s capital is Ottawa.

The country has the longest coastline on the East along the Atlantic Ocean.

Canada borders on with the United States in the south.

Russia is its neighbor.

There are some 2 million lakes in Canada.

Because of the harsh northern climate only 12 percent of land is suitable for agriculture.

Canada is rich in raw materials.

Its capital is Ottawa

The national flag is the Canadian National symbol which has a big red maple leaf on it.

Canada is divided into 10 provinces.

Canadian population consists of British (50 %), French (30%), the rest are Indians and Eskimos or Inuits.

Some of the large cities are Toronto and Montreal, Vancouver and of course the capital – Ottawa.
